Internationalization in the field of education refers to the institution's engagement within the global context, through the adoption of practices and initiatives that create new opportunities for international outreach and connection with academic networks.
It also serves to strengthen core institutional values such as cooperation and solidarity.
The Office of International Cooperation at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), which operates under the Office of the Rector, aims to expand and strengthen internationalization efforts and foster inter-institutional cooperation.
Established in 2007 in response to the growing need to unify existing international cooperation initiatives at the university, the office has since been responsible for establishing new agreements based on institutional demands. This work has provided the academic community with opportunities to benefit from academic mobility as a means of enhancing academic performance and promoting cultural exchange.
